In the gulf of Trieste in Italy the climbing in Istria actualy began. Emilio Comici was one of the first who climbed the rocks around Trieste like Val Rosandra, Napoleonica, Costiera, Sistiana for his training for mountains already back in 1930’s.

Climbing locations are easy reachable, maybe a bit polished but in a beautiful surrounding just couple of minutes out of the centre of Trieste.
